first, I have to say that I have been frequenting the archive (99% for Grateful Dead soundboards) since early '92 .. long before we couldn't download snbd recordings. back then I grabbed everything I could.. but since that rule, there have been multiple high quality additions.. for the technically astute, there has always been a way around the 'stream only' .. but enough said. I never bothered to sign up here, as I didn't have anything to say .. but today has been a revelation. I decided recently to upgrade my Dylan/Dead recordings .. as most of the early circulations were marginal .. after listening methodically to every recording of 7/12/87 uploaded here, I have landed on this one.. Tobin, you are to be commended ... most of my recent (last 5 years) downloads have been from Mr. Miller's meticulous work (I can't thank you enough), and his FOB schoeps was a close 2nd (imho) .. but this one takes the cake ... I can tell Tobin has worked hard on several recordings up here, as I've listened carefully to them all.. so 'kudos', my unknown friend .. 5 stars for the legwork alone .. not to mention the presence of crisp high end, in addition to clear individual feeds from what must be the board ... this one is most worthy.. my sincere thanks once again

Grateful Dead is the best band Dylan has ever played with and the Dead play like there's no where else they'd rather be. The energy and vibe of '87 rebirth is here and apparent in Jerry's guitar work. A mix where Phil and Bobby are clear and the crowd ambience with Jerry's sound weaving is very much appreciated. Good job on the audio. My first show was Alpine Valley '87 and I tell ya, " You had to be there!" An enlightening magical experience into sound. So glad, my generation was able to experience Jerry and the Dead's jubilee!

Amazing No Reviews Yet... Wow!
First off, Mr. Kevin Tobin needs applause for making this matrix. Well done! Let the nitpickers pick, but I thank you.
I thought this entire show was a high-point of 87. Epic show, really, when you consider Union Rules and Rates.
I used this at #DeadOnThisDate at twitter. I hope it gets the listens it deserves.
